It is now official: RERO’s identity is evolving to meet new needs in a new library environment. RERO becomes RERO+, a foundation of private law and public interest formally created on 29 April 2021 by the cantons of Jura, Neuchâtel and Valais, as well as the city of Martigny. This event represents the beginning of a new adventure for the RERO+ team and its partners.
The work on the future competence centre has begun! On September 13, 2018, the CIIP, RERO’s supervisory authority, gave the go-ahead for the launch of the future library competence and service centre - the “RERO 21” project. A private law and public interest foundation will be created in 2019 and will gradually replace the current RERO until 2021.
The RERO 21 blog is finally published! “Finally”, because although the project officially started in September 2018, the RERO team has been working on it for many months, or even years if one considers the preliminary reflection and preparation of the project itself. And the desire to talk about the project has been with us all this time.
